Elba has a dedicated mobile maintenance staff member who is available for all members.
Elba is proud to have Stew Watson as part of their team. He provides mobile maintenance services to all our members.
Stew has an extensive building background and he also helps out with van driving duties when required.
Services such as tap washer replacement, smoke alarm maintenance (testing/battery replacement), gutter cleaning, minor paint touch-ups, light globe replacement, flat pack assembly, yard and home clean-ups, minor wheelchair maintenance (battery and tyre replacement), minor carpentry tasks (eg repairs, fit shelving), hanging artwork, repairing rails, minor reticulation repairs and garden maintenance (light pruning), will be available for Elba members.
Maintenance work is performed on a priority basis while escalating safety-related tasks.
Services that will not be provided are any requiring certification. These include electrical or plumbing, any specialist work or repairs, major works, and anything assessed as a safety concern.
Members who request these services are responsible for providing materials and equipment (eg gardening tools, etc). Furthermore, an appropriate disposal place for any waste needs to be in the alignment of council verge collections. Costs incurred for materials must be paid for upfront by the member. Please note that any purchases on the member’s behalf will be provided from local suppliers, and any request for pick up will be at the discretion of the Elba administration team and maintenance staff.
