Independence, Personal Care and Support {Play}

Assisting with and/or supervising personal tasks of daily life to enable the individual to live as autonomously as possible. A range of supports are provided to each individual in different environments, including but not limited to the individual’s own home.{Play}

Elba will work with you to develop a plan that outlines how we will support you to meet your personal support needs and achieve your goals. Our Human Resources team works in conjunction with each member to ensure a support worker is employed that will effectively communicate, support and assist you to achieve your goals and aspirations. As each individual is unique our HR team strives to match personality, personal needs and care requirements with those of new support workers. {Play}

Depending on funding resources available, Elba is able to provide support where and whenever it is required. {Play}

The following is a snapshot of the supports Elba can provide: {Play}

  • Assistance with personal care, preparing meals with a focus assisting people to learn new skills, gain or maintain their independence skills {Play}
  • Support with daily living activities such as communication, mobility, transport, shopping and purchasing tasks {Play}
  • Help to attend medical and other appointments {Play}
  • Transport training to gain new skills, confidence and independence in using public transport facilities {Play}

Development and Support with Daily Living and Life Skills {Play}

Development of daily living and life skills focusing on training, and where appropriate ongoing support, for an individual or their carer to increase their ability to live as autonomously as possible. Training and assistance can be provided either individually or through shared activities. It can include skills development and support with daily life activities, communication, social skills, tenancy, budgeting, and problem-solving. {Play}
